CONSTIPATION. The root cause of most diseases...
We all like to talk about trends, music, movies, cars, the stock market, eating good food , doing the right exercises to maintain a fit body , but how many of us really talk openly about healthy elimination of the food ? This topic is considered taboo by the general public in our society, and sadly, people avoid addressing this subject openly. It is high time we spoke about this matter to bring awareness amongst our friends and family for the benefit of the society as a whole.
What is constipation ?
Constipation is the inability of the body to eliminate toxins produced within, in the form of stools. Constipation is characterized by hard and lumpy stools, seldom visits to toilet, incomplete and painful evacuation, or a general sense of difficulty in discharging fecal matter. Also, passing stools becomes difficult even when there is an urge, thus making it necessary to use manual maneuvers in order to have bowel movements.

Ideally, a person who eats two to three 'healthy' meals a day must excrete at least two to three times that same day. It is also important to note the consistency, odor, color and texture of the stools. One should be able to go to the toilet with very little effort and also feel totally relieved and fresh after each time.
What causes constipation ?
Constipation is due to bad living habits, bad eating habits, sedentary lifestyle, lack of sufficient water intake and eating too much refined products. Consumption of prescription drugs also contributes to the cause of constipation.
How can constipation be prevented ?
Elimination of Refined ,Junk and processed foods from our diet can improve bowel regularity. Switch on to freshly prepared food from whole grains, fruits, nuts and vegetables instead. The bowels need an adequate water supply to moisten waste products and allow for the smooth movement of waste through the digestive tract, hence it is very important to drink at least 8 glasses of water on a daily basis. A daily physical routine of 30 to 60 minutes of exercise should be observed when seeking increased metabolism thus avoiding a sedentary lifestyle.
What are the effects of constipation ?
Constipation prevents the expulsion of toxins produced. The build up of toxins inside the body results in the manifestation of different diseases like irritable bowel syndrome, piles, hemorrhoids, chronic fatigue, lupus, colon cancer , migraine, gastritis, obesity amongst a prolific list of other ailments.

We need not endure constipation throughout our lifetime. With an appropriate diet, exercise and a healthy lifestyle we can make our visits to the bathroom a smooth, quick and easy experience !!
